Legend of the Christ Child
There was a poor woodcutter, he had a wife and two children, Marie and Valentine.
The children always helped their father in his work, were obedient to him and were pious in nature and they always read the Bible.
Once, when they were reading the Bible, someone knocked on the window, it's a child! He was suffering from cold and hunger.
The family decided to help him and prayed for him.
In the wee hours of the morning, Marie was woken by sweet music. She woke up her brother. They found that the poor child was the Christ Child.
The Christ Child gave them his blessing and a Christmas tree with golden apple, silver nuts and lovely toys on every Christmas eve.Hence, it is said that it is in remembrance and anticipation of the Christ Child that the Christmas tree is decorated every year.
